The Churdan Public Library and the Churdan Lions Club will sponsor a free vision screening test for children 6 month to 5 years old Wednesday, Jan. 15, at about 9:30 am.
The vision screening produces images of a child’s eyes to determine the presence of eye disorders and is 85-90 percent effective in detecting problems that can cause reduced vision. No physical contact is made with the child and no eye drops are used during the screening.
This screening has helped many local people determine that their child needed glasses. Even if a child has been tested before, it is a good idea to have him or her tested each year. Persons who have any questions or concerns can call the Churdan Public Library at 515-389-3423.
